The location for the garden has been confirmed and we are now in the Building stage. The next step will be to obtain funding before construction can begin. If you are able to help with building materials, equipment, manual labour or finacial donations, please email us your information. Any help will be much appreciated. 

Once the garden is developed, members will be able to enjoy gardening within the communal garden areas or have their own individual garden beds to grow their produce.

Location 

The site where the garden will be developed is located at Rotary Park, off King Street in Coogee.

This is the approved garden design. 

The garden will feature:

  • Secure fence for perimeter, including half height chicken wire to keep out rabbits, dogs etc.
  • Secure section for private growing allotments.
  • A gate for trailer and pedestrian access.
  • Assortment of vines to grow along fence to give pleasing aesthetics.
  • Northern fence to have information on market gardener families.
  • Stage A will be a dedicated sensory garden illustrating the history of the early market gardeners of the local area.
