The Coolbellup Community Association acknowledges the Whadjuk Nyoongar people as the traditional custodians of this land, and pays respects to Elders past and present. We extend respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. The general area of Coolbellup is recognised as a place belonging to Wardang (crow) and it is the original name of the body of water known as North Lake.

The Coolbellup Community Association is a group of Coolbellup Community residents who volunteer our time to make our wonderful suburb even better. We were incorporated in 1983 and meet on the first Monday of every month at the Coolbellup Hub from 6.45pm. Just email us on coobyca@gmail.com if you would like to attend, or turn up!

We are now the Coolbellup Community Association Town Team! A Town Team is a partnership with residents, business and government agencies to partner to get things done. We received a Town Teams Grant from RAC to put up the noticeboards in the shops so people know what events and consultations etc are happening. We also received a City of Cockburn Grant to develop the Connecting Cooby leaflet all about Coolbellup - the shops, services, recycling options etc. We have refreshed Kaya Cooby newsletter to create a regular What's On section so that you can find out more about what's happening in your neighbourhood. You can read the newsletter on this website or pick up a hard copy from the library or shops.

Have a look at our About Us and Membership Page for more details about our objectives and how to get involved.
